Of course one of my goals for this car during this and the previous restorations was to show the car. It is great fun to share this car and it's history with interested folks at car shows and cruises. This page will recap the shows and larger cruises I attended in 2002.
Originally I was going to not attend this show this year because of the expense to travel to the show. But when ACES annouced this year's focus Chevelles would be L79 cars I had to rethink my plans. I've been on a 20+ year campaign to get recognition and awareness of the L79 in Chevelles so I couldn't pass up this opportunity to promote the breed. You can learn more about ACES and Chevell-Abration here: ACES (Amerian Chevelle Enthusiasts Society). I was again honored to receive a Top Three award at this show. The trip down to Nashville was rather wet. Read all about the trip to CB02.

The Gretna (my hometown) show was a great time again this year.

This was an all-new Chevelle regional show and for the first time out it was a pretty good show. I expect this regional to grow over the next few years. Unfortunately, this year's attendance was smallish (about 90 cars in the show) which in the end left me in a one-car class. I brought home a first place plaque which was not a great feat since I was all alone in my class. To make it feel like somewhat of an accomplishment at least I did receive judging sheets with scores of 99 and 98.5 on a 100 point scale.

Overall it was a good show day. I got a special treat in that I got to meet the salesman who originally ordered my car new in the Winter of 1964 for his cousin! Check out the whole story on my Micellaneous Documents page.
