Early June, 2000
The car has been polished and the front clip is back on the car. The shop has installed the windshield and rear glass. The headliner and headliner trim are in as well. The shop is finishing up a few details.
At this point I can't wait until the black SS stripe is on the rear cove area. Once the chrome is back on it will look great! So many folks who "restore" a 65 SS forget or don't know that the Super Sports had mostly blacked out grills and a black stripe on the rear cove section (silver stripe on black cars). These details set the SS apart and the cars really look wrong without these details done correctly.
The trailer is hooked to the truck and the car will finally be coming home! It now has the correct SS-only black stripe on the tail of the car.
