Of course one of my goals for this car during this and the previous restorations was to show the car. It is great fun to share this car and it's history with interested folks at car shows and cruises. This page will recap the shows I attended in 2008. I don't plan to attend too many shows with the car this year as I'll be concentrating on working on my new wagon.
For one reason or another, I've always missed this show year after year. This year I made a point of going with some friends. I don't show it too often with the street wheels and tires, but I drove to this show and the original style bias ply tires aren't really that fun to drive on.
I was going to give this show a pass this year because I've done it so often, it costs a fair amount of money to drive down and stay at a hotel, but the Mid America Chevelle Club who hosts the show chose my car to be depicted in the graphic for this year's show so I felt I should go. The t-shirt graphic looks like this and the same graphic appears on the the award plaques. This year they changed the format away from points judging and went to a top three in each category. I got a Top Three award.
That's it for this year. I probably won't be showing the car much next year as I'll again be concentrating on the wagon project.
