Of course one of my goals for this car during this and the previous restorations was to show the car. It is great fun to share this car and it's history with interested folks at car shows and cruises. This page will recap the shows and larger cruises I attended in 2005. I don't plan to attend too many shows with the car this year as I'll be concentrating on working on my new wagon.
I was going to give this one a pass this year but was convinced to enter it again.

Once again I was in the Original Restored class all alone. The show was a good one and I met lots of nice folks. I scored a 996 points on a 1000 point scale, but since there were no other cars in my class I don't think the judges tried to hard to scrutinize the car completely in the 100+ degree heat.

The judging was a little more detailed this time and I scored 978 points on a 1000 point scale. The show was a good one with 13 other club members attending with their cars. To be honest, the engine compartment is beginning to show a little wear. I think as soon as I finish up the wagon I'll be pulling the engine to spiff things up a bit.

The 1965 stock class was a lot larger than in the past. I was very happy to bring home a first place trophy. It was a great day and a good time seeing old friends.

That's it for this year. I probably won't be showing the car much next year as I'll be concentrating on the wagon project.
