These are photos of some of the autoshows I've had the Chevelle in after the first restoration. The first four photos are kind of washed out since the photos I scanned were kind of washed out. For the first show I entered I hadn't saved up enough money to put my 69 SS wheels on it so I borrowed narrow wheels/tires with original hub caps from a friend. The second show featured is one shows the car in almost the exact same spot in the civic center as in my first show, kind of strange. By then I had the bigger wheels and tires of course.
The third show featured below was outside at one of the Playboy Clubs before most of them closed. No, I didn't get to date a Bunny for being in the show! The show was sponsored by a Pontiac club and somehow I lost out to a 69 GTO convertible with rusty doors and fenders (no kidding!). I like all kinds of cars and obviously have a Chevelle bias, but if another car is nicer than mine I'd be the first to admit it. That was just a totally cheap shot. I did take first place in the first two shows where the judging was unbiased.
After the first restoration I atteneded a total of 5 shows:

I did attend another show in 1986 similar to the 1984 and 1985 shows shown and received a 3rd place trophy. That darn trophy is responsible for the second restoration in a way! After that show I decided to clean up a few things and before I knew it I had started an entire new body-off restoration project!
